Stellar Salvage VR

Here is a quick VR game I was using to prototype VR interactions.

Story:

An animatronic from a amusement park in the Year 3012 get's dumped into space along with other debris. The animatronic (the player) has a oil leak and is minutes away from death. The animatronic has salvaged parts off of other crashed ships and created a rust bucket in the shape of their own old amusement ride.

Gameplay:

The player must pilot a space pirate ship through an 3D asteroid field and break apart asteroids, asborb the destroyed smaller chunks (by driving into them), and squeeze them into oil to drink and live. 

In the menu you can choose how many minutes you want to start with. 

On the ship there is a steering wheel, vertical handbreak, accelerator, cannon, vacuum, chest, hydralic press all with which the player can interact with in VR.

Bugs:

When shooting an asteroid at the ships FULL speed it'll move with the ship, this is fixed when the player slows the ship down slightly.
